Southwest Medical Associates is looking for a  BC/BE physician with ER experience to join us on a supplemental basis in  Cuero, TX . Located about 30 minutes from Victoria, TX, this hospital serves a rural community and provides top quality care for a diverse population.

• Level IV Trauma Center
\n
• 6 ER beds
\n
• Coverage: Full Time
\n
• Increase in rate for physicians who work 72 or more hours within a calendar month.
\n
• Requires ACLS, ATLS, & CMEs (Required 9hrs Trauma & 8hrs Stroke per year), Recommends: PALS, and NIHSS certificate every other year
\n
• Patient Volume: 22-26 patients per 24 hours
\n
• 12 hour shifts; with hospital permission 24s will be accepted
\n
• 30% Trauma, 20% Pediatrics, 50% Geriatric
\n
• EMR: Meditech
\n
• Lab & X-Ray 24/7
\n
• Tele: Cardio, Neuro, Behavioral Health
\n
• OB physician and first assist on call 24/7; OB nurses are in-house 24/7; OB Protocol
\n
• In-House Hospitalist coverage
\n
• Admit/Transfer Protocol
\n
• Referral centers: Citizens Med. Center, DeTar Hospital, Methodist Hospital and SAMMC
