Speech & Language Pathologist (2026-27 SY) Starting Date: Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Position Overview The Weston Public Schools is seeking to hire a Speech & Language Pathologist for the 2026-27 school year. This is a full‑time role supporting Country and Woodland Elementary Schools (grades PreK-3). About the Weston Public Schools The Weston Public Schools enroll approximately 2,000 students in pre‑kindergarten through grade 12. The district includes a high school (9‑12), a middle school (6‑8), an upper elementary (4‑5), and two lower elementary schools (PreK‑3). Since 1967, Weston has participated in METCO, a voluntary school integration program that places Boston residents in suburban schools. The METCO program enrolls about 150 students (K‑12). Key Responsibilities Embrace the diversity of the Weston Public Schools by fostering an environment of respect and inclusion Provide consultation to teachers on the development of language Assist teachers in developing language‑based classroom activities Provide individual services to children with speech and/or language disabilities Assess needs in the areas of speech, language, and hearing Prepare diagnostic reports Serve as a member of a team that will develop individual education programs Other duties as assigned by the Building Principals or the Director of Student Services Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree Massachusetts license for Speech Language and Hearing Disorders Experience supporting students with special needs in a diverse public school setting (preferred) Compensation and Benefits This is a school‑year role, 184 days, represented by the Weston Education Association, and entitled to the same salary schedule as teachers and other professional staff.
