Position OverviewWe are seeking a results-driven Field Sales Engineer to drive revenue growth by combining technical expertise with consultative selling. The role focuses on developing new business and managing customer relationships across a defined territory, promoting interconnect and electrical/electronic solutions. The Field Sales Engineer will act as the primary technical resource for customers, delivering application guidance, product demonstrations, and tailored solutions to meet client needs and achieve sales targets.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Sales Engineer, you interface with our external customers and internal product development, product marketing, and application teams. Sell and promote all company products within an assigned territory and defined accounts, either through original equipment manufacturers (OEM customers) and/or distributors, via successful design win activities and total channel management. Help devise strategies to differentiate our products and solutions from our competitors. Broaden customer base and increase penetration at existing accounts, including key global accounts. The role of Sales Engineer gives an excellent insight into the Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Product Development functions of the organization.Provide sales leadership, and work closely with Field Applications Engineer and Business UnitsPromote and sell Amphenol products with established customers and developing new prospects.Identify all interconnect opportunities/applications of Amphenol products for clients and work with the customers engineering team to design in new productsDevelop and implement sales plan and growth strategy for territory and customersMeet and exceed strategic objectives and established sales quota via new design wins and management of the entire sales channelMotivate existing and potential customers to increase product content on the designSupport technical aspects of the sales cycle including marketing support for the development and implementation of Amphenol productsProvide customer service to solve complex interconnect problems and technical inquiriesTrack orders and revenue by customerBuild rapport and provide customer support by supplying information related to samples, delivery dates, part drawings and specifications, quality issues, credit issues, etc.Develop a thorough understanding of the market and competition in your territory.Keep informed of new products and other general information of interest to customers.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline; equivalent technical experience considered.3+ years of field sales, technical sales, or applications engineering experience in interconnects, electrical, or electronics industries, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.Demonstrated experience in business development, solution selling, and managing complex customer relationships.Strong technical knowledge of interconnects, connectors, cables, and related electronic and electrical components; experience with applications and system-level integration preferred.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in the field with frequent travel to customer sites.Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite; experience creating proposals and technical documentation.Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to translate customer needs into viable solutions.Valid drivers license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.BenefitsBase Salary: $90K-$170K (DOE)Annual bonus incentive programCompany vehicle Medical, Vision, Dental401kPTO
