Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trauma and acute care, with the ability to manage a diverse patient population including pediatric and adult cases.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and prioritize patient care needs upon arrival to ensure timely treatment.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy in accordance with established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias, manage multisystem organ failure, and provide support for ventilated patients.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information accurately in the EPIC system and communicate effectively with team members.
  
  
• 
  Respond swiftly to emergency situations, including trauma, neuro injuries, or infections.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a current NY state nursing license.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an emergency or trauma setting.
  
  
• 
  Be certified in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR communication systems.
  
  
• 
  Have completed at least 24 hours of unit orientation.
  
  
• 
  Be willing to work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, with a patient ratio of 1:5.
