Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN)

We are hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs/LPNs) for one of our clients in Terrell, TX .


Job Description:


The Licensed Vocational Nurse at Terrell State Hospital performs advanced vocational nursing work. Provides for the care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals at Terrell State Hospital who have complex medical, mental health and/or behavioral health issues.


Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients - manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation.
• Perform computer data entry - Receive full training.
• Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies, TSH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.

Requirements:

• Must possess valid LVN license.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience
• Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements.
• Must submit to HHSC required drug test.
• Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting.
• Must complete facility and HHSC required training.

Selection Process:

• The Staffing Agency with the selected candidates will be notified by email.
• TSH's Agency Hiring Coordinator will communicate with the agency and candidate(s) on dates and times to begin the process of on-boarding.

Submission Packets should include:

• Resume' or work experience
• Two complete references from two different places of employment by supervisor of the nurse
• A NURSYS report showing any licenses held (must be current)
• Skills checklist

Work hours:

• Sunday - Saturday
• Note: Shifts are alternating to meet staffing needs.
• Able to start any day during the week, given 5 days before start date for processing all pre-employment requirements

Shift Availability:

• 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
• 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM

• 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Term:

• Please Note: The start date commences when all compliance and clearance requirements have been met by the selected candidate.
