As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use communication and computer skills to document activity and assist employees and visitors. DayTimeSat04:00 PM - 12:30 AMSun04:00 PM - 12:30 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology infrastructure location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, access areas, and critical infrastructure spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
