Shift Manager

Job Details: Location: SC Hardees of Darlington - Darlington, SC 29532; Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time; Education Level: High School; Job Shift: Any; Job Category: Restaurant - Food Service; Company: Carolina Food Systems, Inc. Position Purpose Supervises shifts and works positions in a restaurant as designated by the General Manager to ensure that quality, service and cleanliness standards are met and the unit is operated according to company standards. Responsibilities and Duties Ensures that all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner according to all established procedures, performance standards, and specifications. Ensures customer satisfaction through effective and efficient service and a clean and pleasant environment. Responds to customer complaints. Informs the General Manager and District Manager of significant customer complaints. Ensures that proper management procedures and practices for the facility and equipment are adhered to through energy conservation and security measures. Ensures that safety and sanitation requirements are met. Embodies, promotes and teaches the Carolina Food Systems values. Communicates system breakdowns and deficiencies to appropriate personnel, e.g. (Equipment, Facility, Product, POS, etc.). Manages financial performance focusing on payroll, cash and receipts, productivity, food costs and security of funds. Adheres to cash management policies. Creates and maintains a positive work environment, ensuring open communications. Communicates employee relation issues or problems to the General Manager promptly. Maintains accurate and complete paperwork relating to restaurant. Refers to the General Manager all progressive disciplinary actions according to established procedures. Attends area strategy meetings. Competencies Customer Focus — Demonstrates commitment to providing quality products and services. Experience and Education High School degree or equivalent Minimum of 1 year in a restaurant or retail business, with customer service preferred. Skills and Knowledge Understanding of restaurant operations, to include restaurant job skills. Understand customer service requirements. Good listening skills. Initiative. High work standards.
