About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS NIH TNCC Must-Have: 2 years Emergency Department experience Description: Unit information includes 19 beds and a staff of 26 FTEs. Core staffing needs require 33 personnel. Day shift typically has 1 Charge RN, 1 Triage RN, 4 Bedside RNs, 1 Health Unit Coordinator, and 1 Tech. Night shift typically has 1 Charge RN, 1 Triage RN, 4 Bedside RNs, 1 Health Unit Coordinator, and 1 Tech. Patient ratios are either 4:1 or 5:1. Equipment utilized includes Philips and the EMR system is Meditech. Skills most sought after include tPA, STEMI care, CPR, laceration repair, and orthopedic care. The ideal candidate will fit a positive culture. Weekend rotations are required with no on-call responsibilities. Unit policies and guidelines can be referenced for additional information.
