SALARY RANGE: $113,944 to $155,129 DEADLINE: Summary Responsibilities Prepare material estimates, labor estimates, and cost estimates, as well as complete pricing and cost benchmarking validations with the proper level of detail for all design stages, such as conceptual, schematic design, design development, and construction documents. Analyze documents, blueprints, and projects to determine which factors may influence project cost or potential setbacks, including detailed take-offs, and estimate costs of all materials, labor, and equipment. Provide continuous evaluations of estimates to determine the potential risk, environmental impact, financial reductions, or budget cuts that may negatively impact the completion of the project to ensure it remains on time and within budget. Communicate to senior management, contractors, and vendors through presentations and reports recommending labor, equipment, and material cost and risk assessment for projects. Obtain accurate and up-to-date pricing information from databases, contractors, and suppliers to utilize in estimates. Review inputted estimate take-off information in systems for specific disciplines to provide a check to assess accuracy and suitability for project type and specific project requirements. Review and finalize estimated unit cost pricing to reflect current market conditions and specific project logistics. Review historic benchmark cost information and highlight variances. Work with architects and engineers to develop a clear understanding of project scope during estimate preparation. Supervise the development of conceptual and feasibility cost model estimates utilizing historic benchmarking information and industry experience to develop complete early-stage cost estimate forecasting. Provide training and development to entry-level estimators. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of fourteen (14) years of related experience. At least eight (8) years in a management or supervisory role and/or project manager role in a large, multi-faceted organization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to deliver results, drive organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement. Strong team-building, listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills. Knowledge of construction costs and budgets, assist in developing a project schedule. Knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and equipment. Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projects. Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret technical documents. Proficient computer skills (Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle-based, or other estimating tools) and strong business administrative skills (presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.).
