Senior Estimator

Summary A growing mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Estimator to lead estimating efforts across commercial mechanical construction projects. The company focuses heavily on commercial HVAC systems and design-build delivery for complex commercial environments. The ideal candidate has strong commercial HVAC estimating experience, understands mechanical systems in detail, and can lead estimates from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission. Key Responsibilities Lead estimating efforts for commercial HVAC and mechanical projects Prepare conceptual budgets and hard-bid estimates Perform material and labor takeoffs from MEP drawings and specifications Review plans, specs, and scope documents to identify gaps and risk factors Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and operations teams Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing Develop proposals, budgets, and scope clarifications Support design-build preconstruction and value engineering efforts Review estimate accuracy, labor productivity, and cost history Assist with turnover and preconstruction planning with operations teams Requirements 5–10+ years of HVAC estimating experience Strong background in commercial mechanical construction required Experience with large commercial HVAC systems and equipment Design-build estimating experience strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications Proficiency with Bluebeam, Excel, and estimating software Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Experience mentoring junior estimators is a plus Compensation & Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid holidays and PTO Long-term growth within a stable mechanical contractor Strong pipeline of commercial HVAC projects #J-18808-Ljbffr
