Family Engagement Coordinator (2026-2027) Location: Match Community Day, 100 Poydras St., Hyde Park, MA (Boston, MA). Start date: August 2026. Hours: 7:00 AM – 2:45 PM; Wednesdays until 4:30 PM for professional development. Salary: $80,031 (may be higher based on experience). Benefits: 90 % coverage of employee health insurance costs and up to $150 / month in loan repayment assistance. Overview of Role and Responsibilities The Family Engagement Coordinator will serve as the primary relationship‑builder and resource for families, ensuring that all families feel known, welcome, and cared for by the school. The role is hands‑on and focuses on providing top‑notch customer service while deeply understanding the Match community to create partnership opportunities. Responsibilities Lead student attendance monitoring and contribute to interventions that increase attendance and reduce tardies. Manage the Family Council and its events, and co‑facilitate meetings with lead family council representatives. Collaborate with the Director of Communications to contribute to the school’s social media presence and draft and send a monthly family newsletter. Oversee family engagement efforts by monitoring communication data, flagging concerns for teachers, staff, and leaders, and ensuring family communication targets are met or exceeded. Act as the school point person for student enrollment: manage enrollment activities for new students/families, assist with onboarding, and develop programming to support student retention. Serve as the point person for family translation/interpretation services for school events and day‑to‑day needs. Plan and lead key events and celebrations throughout the year (e.g., Back to School Night, curriculum nights, performances, Black History Month Spirit week, New Student Orientation, Field Day, Promotion Ceremony). Create and run a Family Resource Center, which may include a food pantry, computer lab, business office, and information/resource center for families, leveraging community resources and partnerships. Qualifications At least 2 years of full‑time experience, preferably in schools, community‑based organizations, or family‑focused non‑profits. Fluency in Spanish or Haitian Creole. A deep belief that all students can succeed. A "Do whatever it takes" attitude in meeting goals and the needs of students and families.
