Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that prescriptions are filled accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community. You will also be responsible for managing inventory, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Ultimately, your work will directly impact patient care and satisfaction in various pharmacy settings, including retail and hospital environments. Responsibilities Accurately enter and process medication orders in the pharmacy system. Prepare and fill prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Maintain inventory levels and assist in ordering medications and supplies. Ensure compliance with safety and sterility standards in the pharmacy. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication information. Skills Order entry and prescription filling accuracy Proficiency with FAX machines and other communication tools to facilitate collaboration with healthcare providers Reliability and attention to patient safety Knowledge of sterilization techniques for maintaining a safe environment Respect and empathy toward patients to enhance their experience Education Education - High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience. Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) preferred. Experience Experience - Experience in community retail pharmacy setting. Knowledge of pharmacy software and order entry systems.
