Work Environment

You will work onsite in a hospital setting where you will interface directly with patients, physicians, and a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. The typical schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule while providing essential patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing tailored treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists, including activities like therapeutic exercises, stretching, and strengthening routines.
• Provide hands-on care through various modalities, including manual therapy techniques aimed at alleviating pain and enhancing mobility.
• Regularly monitor, document, and report patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment protocols under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and their families about exercise techniques, equipment use, and strategies to support recovery and maintain physical health.
• Collaborate actively with an interdisciplinary team, including orthopedic surgeons, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Maintain organized and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitating effective communication within the care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, fractures, and chronic pain conditions. Our clients range from young athletes to seniors looking to regain their mobility and independence. Your expertise will be vital in delivering personalized care that accommodates each patient's unique recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Possess a currently active Physical Therapist Assistant state license.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an orthopedic setting is required.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential for effective patient treatment.
• Demonstrated aptitude for delivering compassionate patient care while maintaining a high degree of professionalism.
