Machine Operator

Volt is immediately hiring for a Machine Operator in West Chester, OH. As a Machine Operator, you will be:

• Responsible for following accurate measures, record, and add random pipe length.
• Responsible for measuring and cutting pipe with band saw or torches.
• Responsible for threading and beveling of pipe with Landis machines.
• Responsible for moving loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard.
• Responsible for precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipes.
• Responsible for assembling pipe orders with single sticks or bundles and maintaining organized work supplies.
• Responsible for inspecting and maintaining all forklift equipment.

This is a full-time contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in machinery, pipe threaders, band saws, roll groove machines, plasma cutting, automatic welding machines, pneumatic banders, or mechanical background.
• Experience of using and understanding tape measures and gauges for quality checks.
• Knowledge of good computer skills for automated machinery.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
