Quality Assurance Technician: Orangeville, Illinois

Our customer in Orangeville, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will support food safety and quality initiatives by performing routine laboratory testing, maintaining quality documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Technician:

• Maintain organization and control of all original quality and food safety documentation.
• Perform physical, chemical, and bacteriological testing on blended and spray-dried products.
• Accurately interpret, document, and communicate test results in accordance with procedures.
• Review production paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
• Prepare and submit product samples for customer requests and external laboratory testing.
• Identify quality or food safety concerns and escalate issues to the QA Manager promptly.
• Assist with food safety audits, SOP reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support daily lab operations and complete additional documentation or testing tasks as assigned.
• Back up the QA Lead and QA Manager as needed.

Quality Assurance Technician Requirements and Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred in Food Science, Food Safety, or Quality Management.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in food production or a quality role within manufacturing.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quality assurance documents and compliance regulations.
• Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced math skills, including basic algebra and statistics.
• General understanding of lab equipment usage, maintenance, and calibration.
• Ability to work in production environments requiring PPE and food safety protocols.

Pay for Quality Assurance Technician: $20.00–$22.00/hour.

Type: Day Shift, Full-time.

Schedule: 6:00am–6:00pm, 2-2-3 rotating schedule. Training for 6–8 weeks will be Monday–Friday from 9:00am–6:00pm.
