Social Work ManagerWe're searching for a Social Work Manager, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll ensure compliance and accountability for the clinical, operational, and human resources activities of the Social Work Department.Think you've got what it takes?Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesEncourages clinical quality and optimizes support of the psychosocial needs of the patient family within a family-centered care environmentEnsures the staffing needs of the department are adequately met, and supports staff in the development of their schedules and monitors staffing needs within all service linesDemonstrates effective communication skills inter-and intra-departmentally and works to eliminate communication barriers by serving as a liaison between physicians, families, nursing staff and ancillary departmentsDevelops and maintains relationships with outside community partners to ensure adequate resources for our patients and their familiesDevelops and mentors direct reports to continue to improve their skillset and their leadership abilitiesParticipates in the screening, interviewing and decision-making process for hiring new employeesEnsures that JC requirements specific to the department are fulfilled but also understands the linkage between department's requirements and those of the integrated delivery systemAs part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.Skills & RequirementsMaster's degree in social work requiredLMSW – Licensed Master Social Worker or LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker or LMSW-AP – Licensed Master Social Worker – Advanced Practice by Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (TBHEC) required3 years of operational experience in a hospital setting required
