What You'll Do

  • Provide expert nursing care to Level 3 NICU patients, including pre-term and surgical neonates
  • Monitor stable and critical infants with bedside telemetry
  • Collaborate with charge nurses, resource nurses, RT, PT, OT, Nurse Practitioners, and CRNA team members
  • Follow facility protocols and maintain patient safety and comfort
  • Utilize Meditech Expanse EMR to update patient records accurately
  • Support unit operations, ensuring optimal nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity
  • Participate in orientation and unit training to ensure seamless integration into the team

What You Need

Required:

  • Valid RN license in Louisiana
  • BLS, NRP, NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum 1 year NICU experience, Level 3 or higher preferred
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend rotation, and half major holidays

Preferred:

  • Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR
  • Previous NICU leadership or support skills
