Job DescriptionGrowing Agriculture Research Supply small business in Town & Country, Missouri seeking full-time Staff Accountant to report directly to CEO.
The Staff Accountant will carry out day to day financial bookkeeping, AR, AP, and administrative tasks as well as maintain financial records and complete routine reconciliations.
An ideal candidate will have relevant bookkeeping and/or accounting experience, a positive attitude, and a proven track record working well with others. This position may also recommend alternative technology to better execute work responsibilities and business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day to day bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, credit cards, payroll, sales tax preparation, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain general ledger via accounting system (Quickbooks Enterprise/Desktop). Enter new customers/vendors into accounting system.
- Maintain customer and vendor portals
- Maintain customer sales tax exemption certificates
- Run customer credit checks
- Oversee accounting system sync to Salesforce.
- Manage customer billing. Prepare and issue customer invoices and process credit card transactions
- Prepare and run financial reports (open order reports; daily sales analysis report)
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual close process, including account reconciliation and preparation of internal financial statements.
- Prepare and coordinate all year end work papers to external accounting firm for tax preparation
- Assist in processing expense reports and running bi-weekly payroll.
- Assist with general administrative responsibilities, including maintaining annual certificates and insurance renewals.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5yrs+ bookkeeping experience;
- Advanced Excel skills and proficient with accounting software.
- Experience navigating customer billing systems. Ariba experience a plus!
- Salesforce experience a plus!
- Strong organizational skills; Detailed oriented; Clear communicator
- Team oriented; Comfortable in small business environment
