BCS operates a high-performance computing facility in Georgia, and is expanding the site into an enterprise data center campus. The build-out includes a multi-year construction program and major equipment procurement. We are a lean, fast-moving team working closely with outside accounting, tax, engineering and construction partners.

About the Role

Our day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end close and tax preparation are handled by an outsourced accounting firm. The Finance Controller will be Minder’s in-house owner of the numbers: supporting the close, reviewing the outsourced team’s work, and ensuring the financials are accurate, complete and decision-ready, including the growing volume of construction and capital spend.

Key Responsibilities

• Close support: Serve as main point of contact with the outsourced accounting firm; provide close inputs (invoices, contracts, bank/loan and intercompany support, accruals), track open items and supply business context.

• Financial review: Review monthly, quarterly and annual standalone and consolidated statements; perform flux/variance analysis; review key reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, journal entries and capitalization decisions.

• Construction and capital spend: Verify CIP and major equipment are recorded against contracts, POs and progress billings; reconcile budget, commitments and actuals; flag deposits, milestones, retainage and cancellation exposure.

• Reporting and cash: Prepare management reporting with commentary, maintain the cash flow forecast, support budgeting and analyze major operating costs such as electricity.

• Tax, compliance and controls: Review filings, extensions and payments prepared by outside advisors; track compliance deadlines; support audits, lender/investor requests and incentive filings; maintain approval workflows.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting or senior-level financial review.
• Solid US GAAP knowledge, including multi-entity consolidation, fixed assets and capitalization.
• Strong analytical and review skills; able to spot errors and ask the right questions.
• Experience working with, or managing, outsourced accounting or tax providers.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Stage Intacct Construction, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
• Organized, detail-oriented and a clear communicator.

Preferred

• CPA or CPA-track.
• Construction, real estate development or infrastructure accounting experience (CIP, job costing, progress billing, retainage, change orders).
• Exposure to data centers, energy or other capital-intensive industries.
• Familiarity with corporate tax compliance and state incentive programs.
