As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Driver in Durham, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support security-related procedures. Maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, trailer areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and provide clear reports to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
