Embrace an opportunity to support students as a Sign Language Interpreter in a dynamic elementary school setting on a contract basis. This role offers a steady Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:00am to 2:30pm, providing care and communication assistance essential for student success throughout the academic year—from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027. In this position, you will collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure effective communication access for a designated student at the elementary level. The successful candidate will join a supportive educational environment and play a vital role in the daily learning experience. Qualifications Valid Sign Language Interpreter license Minimum EIPA score of 3.5; alternatively, candidates with RID certification are eligible, even without an EIPA score Punctuality and preparedness prior to daily student arrival Commitment to onsite work; virtual interpreting is not an option Proven professionalism and ability to work well within a team environment Responsibilities Provide sign language interpretation for assigned student in classroom and school activities Support classroom communication between teachers, staff, and students Maintain confidentiality and act in accordance with all ethical and professional standards Arrive and be fully prepared prior to student arrival each day Collaborate with school staff to optimize the learning environment Perks Work consistent weekday hours (35 hours weekly) Fixed academic calendar allowing for seasonal breaks Contribute meaningfully to student inclusion and accessibility in a welcoming school setting #J-18808-Ljbffr Soliant Health
