Position Summary
\n \nResponsible for managing assigned scopes of work and supporting the successful execution of the project under the direction of the Lead Superintendent. This role takes ownership of day-to-day field operations within their areas, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with project quality standards. At ANF, the Superintendent embodies our core values by building strong relationships with trade partners, coordinating work effectively, and driving accountability in the field. The Superintendent proactively plans work, ensures the schedule reflects reality, identifies and resolves issues early, and communicates clearly with the project team. A successful Superintendent is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to executing the plan while supporting the Lead Superintendent in delivering a high-performing, cohesive project team.

\n \nGeneral Job Summary
\n \n- \n
- Maintain and enforce a project site logistics plan and temporary facilities plan. \n
- Maintain and enforce a project site-specific safety program in accordance with Policies and Processes, local, state and federal laws to include all subcontractors. \n
- Actively participate in and/or lead coordination, subcontractor, staff, and scheduling meetings \n
- Ensure all required daily reports are completed either by yourself or one of the Assistant Superintendents or Field Engineers reporting to you. \n
- Provide direction to trade persons and subcontractors by coordinating plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure quality and on-time completion of work. \n
- Understand Subcontractors’ scope of work and responsibilities during construction. Review subcontracts \n
- Working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, contract with Owner, trade partners, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals and all other project-related documents and maintain a complete and accurate set of as-builts. \n
- Coordinate and manage all material deliveries, subcontractors and their work. \n
- Responsible for layout and field engineering in accordance with all project requirements. \n
- Coordinate daily construction activities within existing operating facilities. \n
- Manage a plan for monitoring the completion of punch list items and coordinate all required field inspections. \n
- Responsible for tracking the status of all permits and ensuring that the proper steps are being taken to close said permits. \n
- Actively leads internal team(s) that focus on continuous improvement of the business. \n
- In conjunction with the Lead Superintendent/Senior Project Manager/Project Manager, responsible for ensuring onsite supervision by an ANF Team Member during normal business hours 7 AM – 5 PM or while any subcontractor is scheduled to be onsite. No subcontractor/vendor shall be onsite without the supervision of an ANF Team Member. \n
Financial Management

- Be familiar with General Requirements budget as instructed by Lead Superintendent. \n
Planning & Scheduling
\n- \n
- Develop break-out or look-ahead schedules in either P6, Microsoft Project, or Excel, covering the work for all trades in designated area(s) of responsibility. \n
- Lead Coordination meetings that result in a plan that can be converted into a schedule. \n
- \n
- Understand the basics of CPM Scheduling including the concepts of the different logic relationships, total float, and critical paths. \n
- Always carry either a physical copy of the look-ahead schedule or Schedule Update Form for designated area of responsibility and accurately track Actual Start and Finish Dates on the Schedule Update Form. \n
- Ensure all Update Forms are completed and accurate in time for their Scheduler to conduct the Schedule Update. \n
- Ensure that all possible impacts to the Schedule for designated areas of responsibility are reported to the Scheduler and tracked. \n
- Effectively communicate the schedule requirements to subcontractors on a weekly basis either through the P6 Schedule or look-ahead schedules. \n
- Ensure that the Schedule accurately reflects the team's actual plan for the job. \n
- Able to openly communicate any issues they foresee in the Schedule to the Planning & Scheduling Department. \n
- Take ownership of the project schedule and its performance for designated area(s) of responsibility. \n
- Understand all contractual milestones we are obligated to meet for the project. \n
Leadership & People Management

- Assists and works with Shared Services departments as requested for Pre, Post, and Constructions activities (i.e. precon proposals, topping off parties, etc.) \n
Marketing & Business Development

- Serve as a visible ambassador of the company’s brand, values, and safety culture on all jobsites \n
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite suitable for client, owner, municipal, and partner visits \n
- Support client, stakeholder, and prospective client jobsite tours by coordinating logistics and presenting project progress \n
- Coordinate with marketing to support jobsite photography, videography, drone flights, signage, and approved branding \n
- Participate in pre-approved marketing activities such as milestone events, site visits, and project highlights \n
- Provide timely field updates, milestones, and insights to support internal and external communications \n
- Support community, owner, or municipal engagement tied to the project when requested \n
- Participate as a subject matter expert in RFP responses by providing construction means, methods, and field expertise when requested \n
- Participate in pursuit interviews, presentations, or shortlist meetings when requested \n
- Maintain awareness of client satisfaction drivers and communicate concerns or opportunities to the Project Manager or Business Development team \n
Quality Assurance & Quality Control
\n- \n
- Maintain in-depth understanding of ANF Quality Control Standards and the ability to ensure that our trade partners build to those standards in every phase of the project. \n
- Ability to adequately perform all QA/QC inspections throughout the course of the project and document them correctly on CMiC. \n
- Teach junior project team members what the ANF Standards of Quality are throughout the project and how they can extract that quality from trade partners. \n
- Working with the Lead Superintendent and Project Manager, choose what mock-ups will be needed for your project and arrange their coordination, construction, inspection and approval by the Owner. Then ensure that standard is clearly communicated to the trades and carried out in the field during production. \n
- Working with the Lead Superintendent and Project Manager, determine what Coordination Meetings will be needed and arrange their coordination, lead the meeting, and ensure that standard is clearly communicated to the trades and carried out in the field during production. \n
- Walk the project periodically to identify any QA/QC issues, point out the issues to the field team, teach them how to fix the issue, and ensure they carry out the fix. \n
- Ensure all completed QA/QC inspections are documented in CMiC. \n
- Report any QA/QC issues to the QA/QC Department. \n
- Responsible for training of Assistant Superintendents and Field Engineers. \n
- Ensure that each trade partner working in your area of responsibility presents you with their own internal QA/QC program, then make sure that they are following their own plan. \n
Educational, Skills, and Experience Requirements
\n \n- \n
- Technical college degree or equivalent required. \n
- At least five (5) to ten (10) years of construction-related experience. \n
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand specifications. \n
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people. \n
- Relevant trade experience required. \n
- Completion of OSHA 10-hour safety course \n
- Maintain current certifications in First-Aid and CPR \n
- Generally understand the essential job functions, duties, and responsibilities of a Project Manager \n
- Competent with PC-based scheduling and spreadsheet applications. \n
- OSHA-30 certification required, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire \n
- CPR/First-Aid/AED certification required, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire \n
- Demonstrated ability to train others and monitor their work for quality and completeness \n
- Able to create trust with others and enthusiasm for the work they do \n
- Able to express ideas and share information effectively \n
- Valid driver’s license required. \n
Working Conditions
\n \nPhysical requirements include the following:
\n- \n
- Required to walk the jobsite. \n
- Must be able to inspect the jobsite, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, etc. to view progress of construction. \n
- May include walking through cluttered areas, working in bad weather, hazardous areas, dark conditions, etc. \n
- Ability to lift and carry 10-50 pounds occasionally. \n
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, grasp, write, and perform repetitive motions. \n
- Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects with the human body. \n
- Hearing and speaking ability sufficient to carry on a conversation with another individual (or groups of individuals) in person and over the telephone. \n
- Visual ability sufficient to read and produce printed material and information displayed on a computer screen. \n
- Ability to sit, stand, drive, walk for 2-10 hours per day. \n
