Job Description

The Registered Professional Nurse in CARS is responsible for the provision of direct patient care to a designated group of patients in a fast-paced multi-faceted department. This role involves observation, data collection, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients.
• Complete physical and mental health assessments (VS, risk assessments, withdrawal assessment (COWS)) as indicated by Part 820 regulations.
• Administer and monitor treatment regimens and prescribed medications.
• Observe and report behavioral changes.
• Maintain control of drugs and medications.
• Triage emergent client medical issues and coordinate care with the Nursing Staff, PA, NP, Medical Director, and outside providers.
• Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
• Respect cultural and religious practices of patients.
• Ensure OASAS/Medicaid regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate in Quality Assessment, Assurance, and Performance Improvement Activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Influenza Vaccine.
• MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, TB Test, Varicella, Tdap for onboarding.
• Agency background check and drug screen.
