Valuation Control Group - North America Rates - Vice President

Valuation Control is organized along business lines including Commercial & Investment Banking (Macro Products, Credit, Equities, Securitized Products, IB Risk), CIO, Treasury & Corporate (CTC), Asset Management, Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) and Commercial Banking (CB). Clients of the group include senior management, business heads, regulators, and both internal and external audit.As a Valuation Controller in the VCG Rates team based in NY, you will work with a wide array of Rates products. This role performs critical independent price verification and fair value adjustment processes for our Global Rates portfolio while partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance valuation control frameworks and ensure regulatory compliance. The position involves implementing innovative control tools, reviewing independent pricing processes, and supporting strategic Business, Risk, and Finance initiatives that drive operational efficiency and maintain accurate fair value determination across our Rates operations.Job Responsibilities: Execute price verification/benchmark process, including the calculation of fair value adjustmentsAssist with various Valuation Control Group (VCG) established practices and control initiatives as well as perform necessary work relating to management reporting, regulatory mandates and consistency within the broader VCG frameworkPartner with various functional groups on valuation related issues and develop/implement appropriate measures with the goal of ensuring fair valueEnhance existing control framework including reviewing independent pricing processes, assessing potential coverage developments and implementing new tools to enhance control efficiencyParticipate in other value-added projects related to Business, Risk, and Finance initiativesRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:Minimum 7+ years of related experienceAbility to understand complex products, and analyze transaction and process flowsUnderstanding of valuation concepts as they pertain to financial products and derivatives, basic accounting knowledgeStrong verbal and written communications skillsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks efficientlyPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:Undergraduate degree with finance and economics major preferredGraduate degree with finance, economics, mathematics, engineering a plusWork experience in financial industry a plusAnalytical and quantitative aptitude.
