Outpatient Pharmacy Tech , CMG Pharmacy

Schedule: Full time, Mon-Fri day hours. Could be as early as 8am and as late as 6pm, will include a rotation for Saturday mornings, 9am-5pm.

Pay Range: $19.48 -$24.00, based on experience.

Main Function:

• Assists in the nonprofessional aspects of preparing and distributing medications & performs the clerical duties of the dept.
• All medication-associated duties are performed under the direct supervision of licensed personnel (Registered Pharmacists).

Required Job Specific Competencies:

• Demonstrates skill in daily communication including effectively gathering and disseminating information.
• Demonstrates flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
• Demonstrates skill on proactively resolving problems, recommending, and implementing continuous quality improvements.
• Demonstrates knowledge in aseptic techniques for the preparation of IV solutions.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Hospital’s Information System (Pharmacy and B/AR), as well as the ability to work in Microsoft’s Word and Excel.
• Provides customer service and support in a manner consistent with the health system’s goals and expectations

Qualifications:

• High School education with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Healthcare/pharmacy experience preferred but not required
• Pharmacy Technician Certification & NYS license preferred.

Pay Range: $19.48 -$24.00
