Medical Assistant

This position is responsible for delivering a range of outpatient care services and supporting clinical workflows to ensure efficient and high-quality patient experiences. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing patients for clinic visits by completing intake documentation, recording vital signs, measuring height and weight, and rooming patients.
• Assisting with examinations, treatments and procedures.
• Collecting laboratory specimens and performing point-of-care testing.
• Administering designated immunization/vaccines and medications under physician delegation.
• Patient registration, appointment scheduling, and financial transactions.
• Managing insurance authorizations and referral processes for assigned clinics.
• Collecting payments and conducting insurance screenings to determine the need for financial counseling.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

How You'll Be Successful:

Work Experience:

• Less than 1 year Medical Assistants hired before 4/1/2026 must have a minimum 6 months experience in a patient care setting or completion of MA program Required.
• Effective 4/1/26, 6 months experience in a patient care setting preferred for new employees Preferred.

Education:

• High School Equivalent (GED) Essential.
• High School Essential Medical Assistants hired before 4/1/26 or acquired from a merger/acquisition must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Required Training/Hours Essential Effective 4/1/2026, new employees must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support-2R-BLS Essential Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements - Time Frame: 60 Days.
