Job Summary

The Facilities & Maintenance Production II Technician will be responsible for maintaining production equipment and facility infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The role involves preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, facility repairs, and supporting a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, assembly, and disassembly of manufacturing equipment using hand and power tools.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and perform timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Coordinate equipment repairs with supervisors and managers.
• Support equipment upgrades and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assist with relocating, installing, and reconstructing production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems ranging from 24VDC controls to 480VAC 3-phase industrial systems .
• Perform facility maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.
• Maintain exterior grounds, including snow and ice removal when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, emergency lighting, and electrical safety.
• Monitor hazardous waste disposal, maintain chemical storage areas, and safely clean chemical spills.
• Maintain inventory of repair parts, maintenance supplies, and shop materials.
• Complete additional maintenance duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; skilled trades or technical training preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and use electrical testing equipment, measuring instruments, and mechanical tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must possess personal mechanic's tools.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs when required.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/factory environment with standard production noise levels.
• Well-lit indoor work environment.
