Job Title: Stacker / Packer

Job Description

This role supports machine operators by safely loading and unloading large rolls of coatings and performing general production tasks. You prepare pallets, handle materials, secure loads, and assist with the flow of products throughout the facility to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload large rolls of coatings to support machine operators and maintain consistent production flow.
• Prepare and set up pallets before loading, including building and staging pallets as needed.
• Use a nail gun when required to assemble or reinforce pallets for safe transport.
• Roll and load new rolls onto pallets, ensuring they are positioned securely and correctly.
• Unload used rolls from machines and help roll them onto designated pallets for further handling or storage.
• Secure rolls on pallets using wrapping materials and wires to prevent shifting or damage during movement.
• Direct and guide forklift operators to ensure safe and accurate placement and movement of pallets.
• Assist with general production work, including stacking, loading, packing, and palletizing materials.
• Operate or assist with pallet jacks and other basic material handling tools as needed.
• Support inventory and pallet organization by keeping work areas orderly and materials properly staged.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment while performing daily tasks.

Essential Skills

• Experience in general production, warehouse, or manufacturing environments such as stacking, loading, unloading, packing, and palletizing.
• Ability to prepare, build, and set up pallets safely and efficiently.
• Capability to use basic material handling tools such as pallet jacks.
• Comfort being on your feet for the entire shift.
• Physical capability to roll and maneuver heavy rolls and materials, even if most weight is rollable rather than lifted.
• Willingness and ability to use a nail gun when required, following safety guidelines.
• Strong awareness of safety practices, including proper use of PPE such as steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, ear buds, and gloves.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly with machine operators and forklift drivers.
• Attention to detail when securing loads with wrapping and wires to ensure stability and safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in general labor, pallet building, or palletizing is beneficial.
• Familiarity with wrapping techniques and securing materials on pallets.
• Basic understanding of inventory and pallet organization in a production or warehouse setting.
• Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment with appropriate hydration and safety practices.

Work Environment

The role is based in a non-climate-controlled facility that operates similarly to a smaller warehouse with an open trailer dock. The space uses numerous fans to promote airflow and help keep conditions comfortable, and break rooms are air-conditioned for relief during rest periods. The position requires being on your feet for the entire shift and working around large rolls of material and active material-handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Required personal protective equipment includes steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, ear buds, and gloves; safety glasses, ear buds, and gloves are provided on-site. The environment emphasizes safe material handling, proper hydration, and adherence to safety protocols.

This is a Contract position based out of Riverside, MO.

The pay range for this position is $18.20 - $18.20/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Riverside,MO.
