divh2Maintenance Technician/h2pThe Maintenance Technician provides facilities support to the centers and offices by assessing the need for repair and deciding on the correct course of action to be completed either in-house or by an outside contractor. The Technician utilizes their trade skills to complete minor and major renovation projects and can do repairs to Catalysts facilities as well as meet with contractors to review scope of repair needed./ppEssential Job Functions:/pulliRespond to and validate center requests for repairs./liliAssess needed repair and decide course of action to be either completed in house or by outside contractor./liliIdentify additional repairs needed even if not requested by center./liliPerform repairs to centers to include plumbing, electrical, painting, flooring, HVAC, or general mechanical repair./liliMeet with contractor on site to review scope of repairs needed/liliMonitor the completion of work by the contractor./liliCommunicate with the center or regional office regarding the status of the repair work./liliCommunicate with the Director regarding the nature of repairs required and obtain necessary approvals to perform the work./liliProvide Customer Service at Center level and Regional Office/liliAbility to identify ADA compliant fixtures for repair/liliAbility to identify licensing compliant issues/liliAbility to identify playground safety issues/li/ulpEducation Experience:/ppEducation/pulliHigh School Diploma/liliTrade/Skill certification preferred/li/ulpExperience/pulli3-5 years experience in general maintenance and repair/lili1-2 years experience of trade focus/li/ulpPhysical Effort:/pulliMore than 50% of daily assignments involve prolonged physical effort./li/ulpOccupational Risks:/pulliMore than 50% of daily assignments involve the potential for accidents and/or occupational risks./li/ulpOther Qualifications:/pulliFundamental knowledge of construction and general maintenance repair/liliMinimum computer skills to include Microsoft Office and email/liliAbility to identify ADA compliant fixtures for repair/liliAbility to exercise sound judgment and decision making/liliMust be flexible and able to multitask with changing schedules/liliAction oriented, positive attitude, and can do personality/liliAbility to pass live scan fingerprint clearance/liliPossess reliable transportation/liliTravel to centers within the region up to 80% of time/li/ulpShift Type: Part Time/ppSchedule: Flexible schedule.
