As our Chemical Production Operator, you will be responsible for manufacturing, packaging, and labeling various bulk industrial chemical products. Specifically, this will include: Reviewing batch sheets and instructions; Weighing and staging chemicals; Preparing chemicals for manufacturing and initiating the production process; Continually observing and monitoring reactions according to written procedures; Controlling reactions, adjusting equipment, and making additions as necessary for desired outcome; Performing quality control tests and making adjustments as needed; Filing totes or other required packaging; Labeling products as required; and, Other duties as needed. For this position, you should have the following skills and qualifications: Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent Solid math skills Ability to lift 55 lbs Ability to wear a respirator Sit-down forklift experience preferred Experience with chemicals preferred This is a day shift position working a regular schedule Monday through Friday. Starting pay is $21/hour, with higher rates available based on experience. The position is located at our Palm Commodities International, LLC facility located in LaVergne, Tennessee. The facility is a Drug-Free Workplace, and pre-employment drug testing is required. Benefits are available the first of the month after hire.
