Patient CoordinatorEye Clinics of Michigan is seeking a full-time, long-term Patient Coordinator. This position is on-site in Brownstown, MI, with travel to other offices in Wayne, Wyandotte, and Dearborn, MI required as needed. Our office is open Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm, with occasional flexibility needed.Requirements include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a favorable background check, basic computer skills, strong customer service skills, and a willingness to learn and grow. Essential functions involve facilitating patient flow, verifying medical and vision insurances, communicating effectively with patients, doctors, and managers, and answering inquiries via phone, email, and in person.As a Patient Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, setting the tone for their visit through excellent patient care. You will also perform administrative responsibilities to create a smooth check-in/out experience. Essential duties include providing exceptional customer service, managing patient flow, knowledge of common fees, completing daily reconciliations, and general office duties.Qualifications include the ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner, a desire to gain industry knowledge and training, initiative in accomplishing practice goals, adaptability, a commitment to work over 40 hours, and reliable transportation to multiple work locations. Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or GED and one year of related experience or training.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. Physical requirements include frequent walking, sitting, and standing, with regular bending, stooping, and reaching, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
