Non CDL Driver - Box Truck - Employee Driver

Ready to move your career forward? Pace is hiring a Non CDL Box Truck Driver in Hammond, LA. Pace is seeking a natural leader who will make multi-stop business to business deliveries from the Pace cross dock to retail locations in and around the Hammond area. Deliveries are made using a 26' Box Truck with a Lift Gate and consist of unloading freight at local retail stores. Freight may be palletized and/or floor loaded. Palletized freight is unloaded using a manual pallet jack. At times, deliveries will be heavy touch when cartons require hand delivery using a cart. Drivers are generally assigned routes 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Key Responsibilities: * Operate a 26' Box Truck with Lift Gate. * Pick up freight and deliver to Pace's customers in the scheduled timeframe. * Breakdown pallets for customers as needed. * Deliver cartons (boxes) to customer store using carts/pallet jack. * Use Pace delivery app/scanner to track and document all deliveries. * Maintain good relationships with our customers when making deliveries. * Punctuality and accuracy within customer time windows on all deliveries. * Timely communication with team regarding route issues. * Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner. Physical Requirements: * Tasks may involve occasional stooping, kneeling, bending; and reaching overhead; as well as the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull objects/materials weighing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 50lbs. * Tasks may involve extended periods of standing. * Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. * Some tasks may require the ability to perceive and discern sounds and visual cues or signals. * Ability to communicate orally. * Able to work around moving machinery. * Warehouse environment, exposure to dust, loud noise and outdoor temperatures.
