Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew to complete landscape maintenance and construction projects efficiently and safely
- Oversee tasks such as planting, mulching, pruning, installing seed and sod, grading, and lawn renovations
- Ensure proper planting techniques and plant identification are followed
- Install drainage systems according to project specifications
- Operate equipment such as skid steer loaders (MT-52 or equivalent) and mini excavators
- Maintain clear communication with team members and clients to ensure project expectations are met
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment and uphold company standards
- Drive company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to and from job sites
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a landscaping crew leader, with references
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with planting, mulching, pruning, seeding, sodding, grading, and lawn renovations
- Knowledge of proper planting techniques and plant identification
- Experience installing drainage systems
- Experience operating skid steer loaders (MT-52 or equivalent) and mini excavators
- Pond and water feature installation experience is preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a truck and trailer
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
- Positive, can-do attitude and a desire to grow professionally and personally
