Growing together.Whole Health Solutions is looking for an experienced Associate Finance Director to join our team. This role will function as the primary finance business partner to our Population Health Solutions leadership within the Optum Whole Health Solutions product portfolio. This role will support financial planning and analysis support through month end close, forecast, long-range modeling and strategic partnership to help senior leadership develop, execute, and manage the growth and profitability of the business. Whole Health Solutions is a business comprised of Optum's Behavioral solutions and its Clinical solutions that address needs across a diverse set of conditions along the continuum of care, and this role will align with Clinical solutions.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Act as a subject matter expert applying in-depth knowledge of the business for recommendations to managementProvide direction on the structuring, negotiating, and drafting of annual intersegment agreementsWork with the Product team and Pricing in the development of client pricing and profitability analysis, collaborating cross functionally to gather inputs, challenge assumptions, and clarify financial narrativesSupport Product investment decisions to maximize returnsIdentify opportunities and prepare business cases for existing client scope expansionAccountability to achieve revenue and profit budgetsIdentify opportunities and drive financial decisions in partnership with business leadership with focus on priority strategic initiativesUnderstand and explain monthly, quarterly, and annual variances and key action itemsMaintain real-time forecast as new information becomes available from the businessLead ad hoc projects that drive cost efficiencies and increase profitabilityProvide direction and development to three plus employees - domestic and offshoreYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field7+ years of progressive finance experienceExperience in financial planning and analysis supporting business partners in P&L managementExperience prioritizing & managing demanding workloads with concurrent deadlinesHistory of supporting product capital and operating budgetsProven ability in preparing and presenting materials to senior leaders and clientsProven excellent interpersonal relationship building and communication (written and verbal)Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and changeProven ability to achieve success in a matrix business partner structurePreferred Qualifications:Experience working in the Healthcare IndustryExperience in utilizing AI agents to develop financial insights, data manipulation, and driving efficiencies across financial processesStructuring, negotiating, and drafting intersegment agreements*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment.
