Real Estate Attorney

DescriptionWe are looking for an attorney to support sophisticated real estate and business transactions in Baltimore, Maryland. This role focuses on advising clients involved in mixed-use development projects, including developers, investors, homebuilders, landlords, and tenants. The attorney will contribute to matters spanning property transactions, development planning, financing arrangements, leasing, and business ownership agreements.Responsibilities:• Advise clients on mixed-use real estate developments from early planning through transaction execution.• Handle legal work related to property purchases, sales, and other transfer matters tied to commercial real estate investments.• Support site development efforts by reviewing project documents, coordinating due diligence, and helping address land use considerations.• Structure and organize business entities to align with project goals, ownership interests, and investment strategies.• Assist with financing transactions by preparing, reviewing, and negotiating documents connected to project funding.• Draft and negotiate lease agreements and related occupancy documents for landlords and tenants.• Prepare and review joint venture, operating, and stockholder agreements for business and investment arrangements.• Contribute to the acquisition and sale of businesses by supporting transaction documents, negotiations, and closing activities.Requirements• At least 2 years of legal experience with commercial real estate transactions or closely related matters.• Background advising clients on acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects involving commercial property.• Working knowledge of due diligence processes related to land development, site development, and real estate investments.• Experience preparing or negotiating joint venture, operating, or stockholder agreements.• Familiarity with project financing and leasing matters in a real estate context.• Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills.• Ability to manage multiple matters effectively while maintaining attention to detail.Most importantly, this is an opportunity for a business minded lawyer who is intellectually curious and interested in a partnership track allows you to control your own trajectory.PERKS:Free ParkingGenerous bonus potentialMedical Coverage - pay 100% of premium for individual401K - regardless of what you contribute, the firm will contribute something (usually around 5%) for you regardless of what you doTransparent path to partnership that is designed to be accessible collegial & collaborative team without the traditional hierarchy that is encouraged in many larger firmsQualified candidates should directly apply and connect with Amy Hyman Baum on LinkedIn.
