Maintenance Technician

Job TitleEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Perform preventative maintenance regularly and maintain PM software.Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical machinery up to and including 120Vac.Assist Maintenance Tech 3 with repairs on more complex machinery.Ability to drive a forkliftPerform basic plumbing and building repairsUse basic hand and power tools to perform tasksUtilize lock out tag outAbility to understand blueprints and schematicsAbility to understand and use calipers, micrometers, and various measuring tools.Fabricate some parts for repairs using Mills, Lathes, and drill presses.Modify machines to improve function or safetyAbility to work with 240/480 volt single and three phase power.Ability to troubleshoot/repair HVAC systems and CNC's.Knowledge of troubleshooting PLC systems and performing repairs plus basic programming.Able to open and close the facilityBe available for on-call basis as needed.Repair production weldersRepair and replace all types of motorsRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredAssociates degree in Maintenance or equivalent from a two year tech school preferredTwo-five years of related preventative maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.Intermediate level in lockout/tag out proceduresRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office)Write routine reports and correspondenceStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and utilize technical informationRead and understand sketches, shop orders, specifications and blueprintsRead and utilize inspection and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, protractors, ruler)
