We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health counseling and support to individuals, particularly those with developmental disabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of various therapeutic techniques and the ability to conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations. The Mental Health Therapist will work collaboratively with clients to develop effective treatment plans and facilitate their journey towards improved mental well-being.

Duties

• Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs.
• Provide individual and group mental health counseling, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client assessments and goals.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with ICD-10 standards.
• Use evidence- based treatment methods to facilitate group and individual treatments.
• Implement behavior management strategies to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients in inpatient settings.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of clients' information and treatment plan.
• Perform regular wellness checks
• Adhere to all facility and Licensing standards

Requirements

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field,.
• Licensed as a LMSW, LCSWC, LCPC
• Previous experience as a mental health therapist preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques and mental health counseling practices.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Proficiency in medical documentation and familiarity with ICD-10 coding.
• Ability to utilize motivational interviewing techniques effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on empathy and active listening.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of behavioral health.
• Perform intake/diagnostic assessments.
