Licensed Mental Health Therapist – Outpatient Mental Health Clinic Job Summary

New Age Psych Behavioral Health Services is seeking a compassionate, professional, and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our outpatient mental health team. The therapist will provide individual therapy to clients receiving services through our Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC) and will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support clients in achieving their treatment goals.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a diverse client population, completing clinical assessments and treatment plans, providing ongoing psychotherapy, and maintaining timely and accurate documentation. The therapist will work collaboratively with psychiatrists, counselors, rehabilitation staff, and other members of the treatment team.

Position Details

Position: Licensed Mental Health Therapist – OMHC
Employment Type: Part-Time
Location: On-Site
Available Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Schedule Flexibility: Clinician may choose to work 1, 2, or 3 days per week based on availability
Hours: Approximately 4–6 hours per day
Time: Between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Licensure: Current, unrestricted Maryland independent clinical license required
Preferred Credentials: LCSW , LCSW-C or LCPC

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy through in-person and telehealth appointments.
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor client progress and provide appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Complete progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
• Provide crisis intervention and appropriate clinical support when needed.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, PRP counselors, rehabilitation staff, and other providers involved in the client's treatment.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, ethical standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, case discussions, and required trainings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current, unrestricted Maryland independent clinical license required.
• LCSW, LCSW-C or LCPC preferred.
• Experience providing psychotherapy in an outpatient or community behavioral health setting preferred.
• Strong clinical documentation and treatment planning skills.
• Experience with telehealth preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with adults, children, adolescents, or families.
• Experience with anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, or other common outpatient behavioral health conditions.
• Experience with crisis intervention and safety planning.
• Experience working with clients receiving PRP or other community-based behavioral health services.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and DSM-based clinical documentation.

Work Environment

This is an outpatient behavioral health position involving direct client care through scheduled in-person and/or telehealth appointments. The therapist will work closely with the New Age Psych Behavioral Health Services team to support continuity of care and positive client outcomes.
