About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a dynamic VC-backed green energy battery start-up. This role is pivotal in steering the financial strategy and operations of the company, which is at the forefront of revolutionizing the energy storage landscape with eco-friendly battery solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO to shape the company's strategic direction, with a particular emphasis on future fundraising rounds. Responsibilities include partnering with the CEO to develop short and long-term strategies, facing off with VC investors and Board Members, and owning the end-to-end fundraising process. The CFO will also be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with the wider leadership team, overseeing financial controls, and ensuring the implementation of scalable systems. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in VC-backed start-ups, with a preference for those with renewable energy experience. They should be an excellent communicator, strategic thinker, and an expert in building out finance and supporting teams. Experience in delivering VC funding rounds, working in a regulated environment, and holding an MBA, investment banking background, or a qualified accountant status is highly desirable. The CFO will be expected to act as a leader for the wider business, supporting operational, legal, and people projects.
