Key Responsibilities for the AP Specialist Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice matching, coding, posting, and payment processing. Process approximately 100200 invoices weekly while maintaining accuracy across departments, grants, and locations. Perform banking activities including deposits, electronic file uploads, account monitoring, and positive pay administration. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding account discrepancies. Serve as the AP Specialist responsible for journal entries and supporting month-end close activities. Maintain organized documentation and ensure expenses are coded accurately in a highly manual accounting environment. Qualifications for the AP Specialist 3+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience. Experience processing invoices, coding expenses, and managing payment runs. Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, deposits, and online banking activities. Experience preparing journal entries and supporting month-end close. Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload with accuracy.
