We are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Tech 1 to join our team. In this high-impact role, you will support all facets of event operations for Multi-site Venues, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.

Your Role on the Team

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across the facility, including air conditioning units, air handlers, ventilation systems, and heating equipment
• Support routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently
• Help diagnose basic HVAC issues and assist in troubleshooting equipment under the guidance of senior technicians
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing filters, motors, belts, and basic components
• Assist with testing HVAC systems to verify proper operation and performance
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent through the CMMS
• Support event coverage by monitoring HVAC performance and responding to comfort or system needs in real time
• Work collaboratively with engineering team members, including electricians and plumbers, to support overall facility operations
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when working with equipment and tools
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Assist with repairs and maintenance of arena equipment, outside of HVAC, such as seat repair, floor repair, and other minor repairs as needed, or assigned

Your Skills and Experience

• Basic understanding of HVAC systems and a strong willingness to learn and grow within the trade
• Ability to follow direction and work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to completing assigned tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including during live events
• Willingness to support a variety of tasks and adapt to operational needs
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an HVAC technician program or vocational training preferred
• EPA 608 certification preferred (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)
• 0–2 years of HVAC or related maintenance experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and safety practices
