Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required within the last 3 years.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding; 2 attempts allowed. Day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes; maintaining sterile field is expected.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: Neuro acute epilepsy monitoring unit with epilepsy and other neurological patients, including 24-48 Trend EEGs, brain tumors, subdural hematomas, scoliosis surgeries, and TBI. BiPAP; respiratory therapy manages vents. Med-Surg/Tele RNs are trained to assess cranial nerves.

Shift & Scheduling: Self scheduling. 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks. Holidays based on unit coverage.

Floating Requirements: First to float; may float to other MS/Tele units, including Westgate and AZ General Laveen Campus.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• CMSRN (Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse) or the alternative certification RN-BC
