Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

• 6 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required within the last 3 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. Two attempts allowed. All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. SIMs Lab is pass/fail.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: 85% oncology patients and 15% telemetry med-surg patients. Surgical, medical, and oncology patients. Uses Phillips telemetry; RN interprets EKGs. Uses BiPAP and CPAP. Charge nurse has a light patient assignment and serves as an oncology resource RN. SWAT RN available for difficult IV sticks.

Shift & Scheduling: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks. Holidays work into rotation based on unit coverage.

Floating Requirements: Float to other Med-Surg/Tele units.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
