Network Administrator

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years of experience as a Network Administrator
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Network Administrator
• Experience with at least one of the following:

F5
Palo Alto
VMware
Hyper-V

• Goals-oriented, proactive team player with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced professional environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, capable of making independent decisions within area of responsibility and expertise

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
Knowledge of PowerPoint and SharePoint

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS

At a minimum, the Consultant(s) shall perform the following tasks:

Develop standards, procedures, and documentation
Devise and recommend short- and long-range plans for development and enhancement of hardware and production systems
Develop and enforce production standards and policies in conjunction with the Senior Network Engineer and Database Administrator
Facilitate collaboration and communication between IT units to build strong partnerships and better serve DOS customers in achieving business objectives
Maintain audit compliance with state requirements related to:
- Central data systems
- User accounts
- Backup and disaster recovery
- Data center security
