Lead Estimator

Lead Estimator/Preconstruction will: Manage the bid process beginning with receiving the lead thru the execution of the contract. Facilitate the project turnover to the Operations Team in an intentional, comprehensive and timely manner. Assign responsibilities, target areas of improvement and training, and supervise the performance of the Estimators. Read and gain knowledge of plans and specifications manuals. Research items and price products through vendors. Manage several activities/projects at once, to organize and prioritize work. Define scopes of work for construction trades and prepare subcontract bid packages. Present to groups in person and via conference calls. Procure and track relevant bid information. Negotiate bid prices with subcontractors to include assisting Operations with the buyout. Demonstrate willingness to assist in other parts of the company as needed. Requirements: 7 years of experience in the construction industry. Completion of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Excellent communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening. Strong leadership and management skills.
