Dermott City Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented MDS Coordinator to join our team in Dermott, AR. The MDS Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely completion of the Minimum Data Set assessments, supporting quality patient care and compliance with regulatory requirements.Responsibilities
- Complete and accurately document Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for residents in a timely manner.
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, therapists, and other care team members to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Analyze resident care plans and outcomes to support quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state regulations related to MDS documentation and reporting.
- Provide training and support to nursing staff on MDS-related processes and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care and regulatory compliance.
- Previous experience as an MDS Coordinator or in a similar role within a nursing home or long-term care facility.
- Strong knowledge of nursing home regulations, Medicare, and Medicaid requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and MDS software.
- Relevant certification or training in MDS coordination preferred.
