Director of Nursing (DON)

Dermott City Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest quality of care for our residents. The DON will oversee nursing operations, coordinate care plans, and promote a supportive environment for both staff and residents at our facility in Dermott, AR.
Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the nursing staff to deliver excellent patient care in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and monitor individualized care plans.
• Manage staffing schedules, training, and performance evaluations for nursing personnel.
• Respond promptly and effectively to patient and family concerns or complaints.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing services and resident care.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Arkansas.
• Previous experience in a leadership role in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, resident care, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
