Our organization is a 161-bed, not-for-profit community hospital located in Conyers, dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-focused care to Rockdale County and its neighboring areas since 1954. We provide 24/7 emergency services along with a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and diagnostic treatments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments and perform respiratory care procedures for both general and critical care.
- Administer respiratory care for newborns in the Labor and Delivery unit.
- Carry out blood gas analysis and interpretation.
- Manage and maintain respiratory equipment.
- Educate patients and their families in both adult and neonatal settings.
Education
- Must possess an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences.
Work Experience
- Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care is required, or successful completion of department-specific orientation, including validation of competencies for this role.
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care, along with a license from the State Board of Medical Examiners, is required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required upon hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is required upon hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred.
