Adjunct Faculty - Department of Biological Sciences Job no: 501593 Work type: Temporary Part-Time Location: Glassboro, New Jersey Categories: Faculty - College of Science and Mathematics The Department of Biological & Biomedical Sciences (BBS) seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach a variety of courses for both majors and non‑majors, including anatomy & physiology, genetics, cell biology, ecology, microbiology, and general biology for non‑science majors. Teaching appointments will be for the Fall 2025 and/or Spring 2026 semesters. Qualifications Master’s degree required in a subdiscipline of biology or a related field of science. Preference for applicants with prior teaching experience, experience with learning management systems (Canvas), favorable professional references, and positive teaching evaluations. Starting Date Fall 2026: September 2026; Spring 2027: January 2027 Application Requirements All applications must be submitted through the university’s online application system. Pay Transparency Adjuncts are paid a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits per academic year.
