Mechanical Technician TraineeLocation: Katy, Texas, USAEmployment Type: ContractAbout the RoleWe are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client's team in the mechanical sector. In this role, you will contribute to ensuring on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands, improving maintenance-related nonproductive time ratio of the Product Line's assets within the Maintenance Base, and enhancing maintenance efficiency and people productivity.ResponsibilitiesMaintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and comply with the reliability-centered maintenance strategy.Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems.Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives, and improvement plans within the Maintenance Base.Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.Comply with the TLM Competency Management System.Tear down and clean tools from oil rigs using basic hand tools such as drills and grinders.Perform basic troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks.RequirementsMinimum of 1 year of work experience; entry-level candidates are acceptable.Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.Willingness to work and learn.Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook).Preferred Qualifications (if any)Familiarity with maintenance management systems is a plus.Experience with cranes/forklifts is helpful; SLB will recertify as needed.Who We AreSGF Global is an integrated talent solutions provider, offering staffing, recruitment, Employer of Record (EOR), nearshore, and consulting services across a wide range of industries in 35 countries.We're a dynamic, people-first organization where fresh ideas are always welcome.
